This is Peak! Look at this beautiful girl and her happy face, the embodiment of love, gratitude, and joy. This face does not show the horrors that this sweet girl experienced. Abandoned by her owner with a dozen other dogs in trailer and left to starve. Evidence of their neglect and struggle to survive all over the home, piles of trash and feces, claw and bite marks around the doors and windows. Sadly, all but two of the dogs died of starvation in that hell hole watching each other slowly perish until they met their own end. Peak is one of the survivors. Despite the terror she experienced, she remains open, warm, and loving. After her rescue, she was kept in a county shelter in legal limbo for nearly a year awaiting her perpetrator’s prosecution and her chance at freedom, life, and love. That time is now. One Love Animal Rescue brought her into foster care and saturated her world with love, tenderness, and safety. After knowing only the trailer and the addicts and the shelter, she is now happy and free and experiencing all the good that life has to offer! <br/><br/>???????
