Peaches is a 9-year-old Chihuahua with a heart as sweet as her name. She came to us from the Humane Society of Yuma alongside her friend Ned. While they aren’t bonded, they make a wonderful duo for anyone hoping to open their home to two loving senior pups. When Peaches first arrived, she was understandably confused and scared—after all, she had spent her whole life in a home and didn’t know why everything suddenly changed. In the few short weeks she’s been with us, though, Peaches has truly blossomed. As she’s settled in, her personality has begun to shine, and it’s clear just how much she thrives on affection. Peaches is the ultimate lap dog. She loves being close to her people, soaking up pets, cuddles, and all the love she can get. She’s also carrying a little extra weight and would be happy to shed a couple of pounds with the help of gentle walks and a healthy routine. Walks are one of her favorite activities, followed by what she does best—snuggling up and relaxing for the rest of the day. Adopting a pet at Foothills Animal Rescue is a simple process, and we have a dedicated staff of Adoption Counselors to help you through the procedure. How to adopt at FAR: Currently under Covid 19 protocols You can view our pets online and make an appointment to meet them. Get to know our pets. Enjoy our meet and greet room where you can spend individual time to play, pet or just sit with them. Converse with our adoption counselors about our pets, our adoption process and what to expect during the first few days. Some of our pets may need a family or dog introduction before able to adopt based on specific observations made at the sheer environment. Once you've decided to adopt, our pets are able to go home usually that same day. They are already neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Enjoy your lifetime of unconditional love.
