Meet the beautiful and resilient Peaches! Peaches came to the shelter because of housing issues, her previous owners had her since she was born. She struggled to adjust to life at the shelter and had a hard time meeting new people initially, she is learning to trust again but needs patience and training to work on her reaction towards strangers. To top this off, our vet team assessed her leg which was painful and found an old gunshot wound that had tried to heal. The bone was unable to heal correctly and pieces of bullet were imbedded. To improve her quality of life, her leg was amputated. She is recovering very well and she was already accustomed to walking on three legs anyways!
