Peach Cobbler's Story
Peach Cobbler born approximately 6/30/24 is a beautiful Shepard mix. She was found as a stray wondering the streets of Missouri before she made her way to rescue! Peach Cobbler is a sweet girl who loves affection and a good belly rub. She has done excellent with other dogs, and even recently spent several days with children older than 8 and did wonderful with them. Peach Cobbler loves to be outside and run with the other dogs. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, we think she’d do just fine as an only dog as well. But she asks you to please consider taking her to the Omaha Dog Bar as she thinks that place is SO FUN!

She would make a great running companion. She’s working on her excitement and leash etiquette, but overall is doing great. Due to Peach Cobbler’s athletic nature she requires a 6’ fence. No apartments for Peachy girl because she likes to show off her theatric vocals when it’s time to kennel up while the humans are at work. She eventually settles, and does great for a 5-6 hour stretch but will eventually speak up again. Peach Cobbler is food motivated which has made training her significantly easier! She’s got a pretty good handle on potty training too, and has been doing great overall.

Please visit www.handsheartspaws.org for an adoption application

All of our dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, heartworm tested, and they are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative.

The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home visit, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for this dog is $350___.

We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs DO REQUIRE a fence. Decide what is best for each dog), we do REQUIRE a means of safe outside containment. We do NOT adopt to homes that use invisible fencing. Invisible fencing is NOT a safe means of outside containment.

We are willing to adopt out-of-state, contingent on our ability to complete a home visit, but you must travel to Omaha to complete the adoption. We do not transport or ship our dogs.
