Peach's Story

Meet Peach!

Peach is soft, sensitive, and quietly trying her best. Peach is a 4-year-old dog who is extremely shy and cautious around people. She can peacefully coexist with humans, but she has significant stranger danger and will choose flight over interaction every time. Trust with Peach is not forced or fast. It is earned slowly, gently, and always on her terms. She is food motivated, which helps, but people are still scary. Peach is currently learning to walk on leash and gains confidence from small, secure spaces where she feels safe enough to observe the world. From there, she is beginning to explore one careful step at a time.

With Peach, slow and steady truly wins the race. Dogs, however, are her comfort and her anchor. Peach needs a confident, kind dog companion and mentor in the home. She thrives when she has another dog to follow, learns household routines by watching them, and experiences separation anxiety when left without canine company. She enjoys dogs 6 months and older and prefers calm, friendly companions. If you are looking for a best friend for your dog, Peach might be the perfect match.

Peach is crate trained and house trained as long as there is another dog in the home to follow. She will sleep in your room at night and finds comfort simply being nearby. She is indifferent to cats unless they attempt to take her food, in which case she will politely but firmly stand her ground.

Peach would do best in a quiet, adult-only home with no children, minimal foot traffic, and guardians who understand that love doesn't always look like cuddles. For Peach, love looks like patience, consistency, and letting her move at her own speed. If your dog is missing a gentle companion and you have the heart to let a shy soul bloom in her own time, Peach may be your girl.

Peach is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. Her adoption fee is $150

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
