Paz's Story

Looking for a lap warming, unwaveringly loyal, portable and adorable companion?

Meet Paz, a two year old chihuahua mix located in Mar Vista, Ca. Paz's foster was given an ultimatum in February 2024; take the dog or he would be dumped on the streets. Since then, Paz has been getting used to a much more secure and cared for life. While he's understandably still timid meeting new humans (wouldn't you be?) he warms up with patience and snacks.

Paz loves cuddles (belly rubs are the best!), long walks, laying in the sun, and is figuring out how is legs work on the beach. Paz lives with two other dogs and has no issues meeting new dog friends in the wild. He knows sit, stay, and down and doesn't pull on a leash. He is comfortable eating, sleeping, and traveling in his crate. Bath and brush time is not his favorite but Paz remains cordial for grooming.

His foster is still working on mouthing and getting Paz to select toys over hands. Paz still occasionally backs away from new people, but with snacks will warm up quickly. Luckily, Furry Foots includes 6 hours of training with our qualified professional dog trainer to help new adopted dogs transition smoothly with their new best friend.

Paz is fully vaccinated, neutered, and available for adoption in California or Georgia. Furry Foots operates solely on donations, so his adoption fee is covered. Please email furryfootsatl@gmail.com for an application which is required prior to meeting the dog.
