Paxton's Story

Paxton

Mom is an Aussie/Terrier mix, and dad is unknown

DOB: June of 2025

Adoption fee: $150

We are playful pups. We are building confidence each week with increasingly one-on-one time with helpful volunteers. Paxton is the voice of the group and has a knack for dramatic scenes. All are very smart and quick learners. Paxton is full of energy and a large personality that grows more each day. He is goofy, sweet, and affectionate. He loves to run around and play; anything a normal puppy would like to do! After a long play, a nap is always very much needed. Paxton is a very loving boy!

These pups would truly be best with a physically fenced-in yard. It may be required. They are not fit for apartment life. Pending a meet and greet, we may do well with another dog, and children 8 years or older (possibly younger pending previous experience). We have not been around cats, with a slow positive introduction and a little obedience training, we should be fine with a dog-savvy cat.

These pups will make a great companion for the right situation. They should be medium-sized when fully grown.

Humane Society of South Central Michigan's Adoption Policy
You MUST submit all applications through our website, www.hsscm.org. We do NOT receive queries from petfinder! All adoptions begin with an application. If you are interested in adopting a dog, you need to first fill out an adoption application. Applications are available on our website under the 'adoption' tab or at our shelter on Watkins Road. After your application is processed and approved, we have you go into an adoption counsel with one of our staff members. During your counsel, we will talk to you about the dog that you are interested in, answer any questions you may have, and let you spend some one-on-one time with the pet. If you have another dog in the home, we will also do a dog-to-dog match-up before you fill out the adoption paperwork. Home visits are occasionally required, depending on the pet.
