PAX's Story
Pax is a young dog with a complicated past and a heart that’s still learning how to trust again. He was found tied to a tree in a park, scared and alone—his only defense was his voice, but underneath the barking was just a dog desperate to feel safe. Once at the shelter, Pax quickly showed a different side: friendly, tolerant of handling, and clearly grateful to no longer be alone. After spending time in a foster home, he’s continued to settle and show his true personality—a loyal, thoughtful pup who’s looking for someone who understands that growth takes time.

This animal is staying in a foster home and is not at the shelter. Please put in an inquiry and an adoption counselor will contact you with the next steps.

Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving with you. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet.
