I came into ACS on 9/19/2024, and I've had zero adoption interest since arriving-no meet-and-greets, no inquiries, just a long wait for someone to notice me.<br/><br/>The staff and volunteers here absolutely adore me. Getting to know me over time has shown them exactly what others are missing, and it's a reminder of why patience matters with dogs like me who wait the longest.<br/><br/>I'm not an "instant perfect fit" kind of dog. I need patience, structure, and an adopter willing to go slow and earn my trust. Without consistency, I can struggle-but once I feel safe, I bond deeply and become incredibly loyal.<br/><br/>I'm a 3-year-old American Staffordshire mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I'm professionally trained, and my trainer will support my transition into a new home to help set me up for success. I've made real progress here, including building strong relationships with several male volunteers once I've been given time.<br/><br/>I love tug, enjoy walks, and thrive on routine. Summer is my favorite season-I LOVE water-but I'm also a total baby about cold weather and prefer cozy blankets and warm indoor time.<br/><br/>I'll need an adult-only home without other pets and someone willing to let me adjust at my own pace. I won't be an easy first week dog, but for the right person, I'll be one of the most loyal companions you'll ever have.<br/><br/>Even if I'm not the right fit for you, please share me. My person is out there-we just have to help them find me.<br/><br/>I'm vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and I'm looking for a serious, committed adopter who understands that the best relationships take work.
