Patty Cake's Story
Hi there - my name is Patty Cake, or you can call me Patty. I’m an older full-figured gal that loves naps, belly rubs, toys, and stuffed animals. I have no food issues and do well with free feeding. I do not beg at the table when my human friends are eating, and I do not steal food. I’m a good girl and do not chew on things that aren’t mine, like shoes or furniture, but if you leave a stuffed animal within my reach, I can’t resist! Squeaky toys are my favorite thing to tear apart. Death to the squeaker! I’m good with cats and other dogs, but I am an alpha female.

Not to brag, but I am pretty smart. I learn fast. I sit on command and if you give me a stern “no” consistently I learn not to do that behavior again.

I love people. I’m happy to be your lap dog, sit next to you on the couch, give you kisses or watch you take a shower - I want to be all up in your business! I do love kids, but I get too excited and knock them over so it might be best if it’s only big humans or adults in my house. I don’t like closed doors and learned how to open a sliding barn door (did I mention that I’m smart?).

With my foster family, I got a little worked up one day and bit my foster dad on the hand when he was coming into the house but I did not break the skin I was just excited to see him, I wasn’t trying to be mean, and I may have mistaken his hand for one of my favorite chew toys that was the same color. I did not draw blood and immediately knew I did something wrong. But since I was also knocking over the tiny human (2 yrs old), my foster parents think it would be best for me to go to a home with only big humans. My foster sister canine was 15 yrs old and I loved her.
