Patsy's Story

My name is Patsy, and I really need your help!

Patsy is not your typical hound! She is quiet, low-key, and she never howls!! Her favorite thing to do is to curl up on a couch next to her humans, with her head on a lap. As a senior girl, she likes shorter walks and lots of treats, but she still shows lots of spunk and a zest for life! Her previous foster Mom says she is house broken, slept well at night, and enjoys Netflix. She does not like cats, small dogs, and or thunderstorms!

When Patsy was found close to our shelter, she was diagnosed with a cancerous lower colon tumor during her medical evaluation. She had surgery to remove the tumor and is on a daily maintenance medication. She recovered quickly and seems to be feeling great and enjoying life. Her future is no more uncertain that it would be for any dog her age.

Patsy is a MEDICAL FOSTER. BCAR will continue to pay for all medical expenses related to her condition and make all medical decisions for her care so that her foster family can just spoil her for the rest of her days. Come meet this sweet well-behaved girl.

All BCAR dogs are placed as indoor family pets. No electric fences, please. Visit pets every Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (706-268-1346) or visit our website for adoption information at www.bigcanoeanimalrescue.org.
