Patsy is a sweet, loving, smart girl who would really love to be someone's special buddy.<br/><br/>She's an active Australian Cattle Dog mix who loves her walks and enjoys having a job to do. Patsy currently lives successfully with three other dogs and a cat, and she would do well with another active dog to play with or a person who will make sure she gets plenty of exercise and enrichment.<br/><br/>New visitors are one of Patsy's biggest works in progress. When someone comes into the house, those herding-dog instincts can kick in and she wants to help manage the situation! Her foster family has worked with a trainer and has a routine that works well for her: Patsy goes into her kennel with a chew toy, settles, and then comes out on leash to meet the new person. She's very smart, catches on quickly, and will need a family willing to continue practicing with her.<br/><br/>Her current foster home doesn't get many visitors, so opportunities to practice are few and far between!<br/>Patsy also likes to talk, so a home without shared walls would be best.<br/><br/>And if you have an ice dispenser on your refrigerator? You may have already won her over. Patsy gets VERY excited when she hears the ice machine, grabs a toy, swings it around, and happily waits for her piece of ice - looking like she's smiling the entire time.<br/><br/>After more than two years with MARS, her foster family loves her dearly.
