Patches's Story
This 5 year old cocker is smart, outgoing and friendly. He loves to go for long walks and explore the great outdoors. Patches currently lives in a condo community where there are alot of other dogs. He is “leash reactive” which means he barks and pulls on the leash if he sees another dog but he’s fine once he gets nose to nose with another dog. When other people come to visit and bring their dog, Patches just sniffs the dog and then ignores him.

His current owners also have mobility issues which makes walking him difficult. Patches originally came from a very rural environment where he rarely saw other dogs and adjusting to a busy condo situation has been challenging for him.

Patches is a very intelligent cocker. he knows basic commands and will hold the “stay” command until he is released. His owners have worked with a trainer who says he is trainable and very sweet.

Patches is immaculate – he never has accidents in the house. He’s also well-mannered around strangers and young children.

Patches has had 3 mild seizures in the past year and a half. His last seizure was last August 2024. Patches is on a daily medication which has prevented any further seizures.

Patches would love to be a companion to an active owner who enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with the dog.

For more information, please call 603-547-3363.

We ask everyone interested in adopting to please fill out our adoption application here and indicate that you are interested in any particular dog! https://csrne.org/adoption/apply-to-adopt/
