PARKER's Story

MEET PARKER!

Parker is a 1-year-old, 42-pound Labrador Retreiver/Staffordshire mix with a big heart and even bigger energy. This boy is always ready to go — whether it’s hiking, camping, road-tripping, or just a game of fetch in the yard. If you’re looking for a high-spirited, loyal adventure buddy, Parker is your guy.

He’s great with other dogs and loves having a canine buddy to play with — especially one who can match his energy. Parker loves toys, bones, and is respectful during open feeding. He’s submissive, social, and always ready for fun.

Because of his high energy and bouncy play style, a home without small children (under 5) is best. He doesn’t mean to be rough, but he’s still learning his size and boundaries. Parker is working on leash manners, knows “sit” and “leave it,” and rides nicely in the car. He gets excited when meeting new people and dogs, but with consistency and training, he’s already making great progress.

Parker is also unshakably brave — not even fireworks faze him — and would make a great companion for someone looking for a confident, loyal dog.

Parker Would Thrive In a Home With:
• An active family or person who loves outdoor adventures
• Another playful dog to be his buddy
• A secure, fenced yard (6 ft required)
• No young children due to his high energy
• Ongoing training to reinforce his great start

Parker is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to win you over.

Ready to meet Parker? DID YOU KNOW?: All of Underdog's animals are fully vetted prior to adoption, including spay/neutered, and vaccinated against distemper/parvo and rabies. All of our pets are placed into loving, caring foster homes until they are adopted. This is so they have been fully acclimated to a home environment prior to going to a new family. They are typically fully housebroken, leash trained, crate trained, and know basic commands. All potential adopters are required to complete an Adoption Application, review and sign our adoption Policies and Procedures and participate in a home visit conducted by one of our adoption representatives. Underdog allows a 14 day "Foster With Intent To Adopt" trial period, so that you can make sure that your new family member is a perfect fit before making if official!
