Parker's Story

Parker is the kind of dog who leaves a lasting impression. At just 3 years old, he's affectionate, playful, and happiest when he's close to his favorite people—whether that's going for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or showing off just how handsome he looks in his pajamas. He has a charming goofy streak, a talent for making people smile, and firmly believes that no petting session should end before he's ready. After spending more than a year in the shelter, Parker has become a favorite among volunteers. They've seen firsthand what a loving, loyal companion is, and they're eager to help him find the home he's been waiting for.Parker recently spent a night on a sleepover with a volunteer and was an outstanding houseguest. He's completely house trained, slept through the night, had no accidents, walked nicely on leash, and left everything exactly as he found it. He showed wonderful house manners. Like many dogs who have spent a long time in a shelter, Parker may need a little time to adjust to a new environment. He's looking for someone who understands that trust and confidence don't always happen overnight. Parker has true “soul dog” potential and will just need a little empathy from his adopter or foster to help him transition into his new environment. Parker would be happiest in a quieter, lower-traffic home where he can settle into a predictable routine. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal dog with a playful personality, impeccable house manners, and a heart that's ready to belong to someone, Parker may be the perfect match. Bonus points if you appreciate a dog who looks especially distinguished in pajamas! Email orangedotcrew@gmail.com to learn more about Parker.
