Papi's Story

Hi there! My name is Papi, but since my foster moms already had a Poppy, they started calling me Winston or Whinny—I’ll answer to all three! My story has a bit of a sad start. A kind lady who had been trying to help us finally reached out to Desert Paws Rescue to see if they could take in three dogs living on the streets. After one look at us, they quickly agreed to take in me, my significant other, and our daughter.
I spent over 2 years living on the streets, and most people weren’t very nice to us. It took me a few days to warm up to my foster moms, but I took to living inside like a duck to water! Now, I’m looking for my new forever best friend. I love to cuddle under the covers, and I absolutely adore being petted. I will be your most loyal companion and follow you everywhere. I just want to be where you are!
If you would like to add Papi to your family, please fill in an adoption consultation form through our website.

!!! Desert Paws Rescue's Adoption Policy
It is the policy of Desert Paws Rescue that all potential cat adopters complete a Cat Adoption Consultation Form and an interview with a Desert Paws representative in order to be considered as a forever home for our cats and kittens. Completion of the application and interview process does not guarantee an adoption approval or guarantee the adoption of a particular cat or kitten. Desert Paws Rescue is a privately run, all-volunteer, non-profit organization and reserves the right to refuse any adoption that is not in the best interest of the cat or kitten, based on our principles, policies, and standards. Desert Paws Rescue will determine the best home for each cat or kitten based on the application and interview process. After review of the adoption consultation form and the completion of the interview with a Desert Paws representative, Desert Paws Rescue may recommend a different cat or kitten that is more suitable to your household.
