Panini's Story

Breed: Chihuahua
Age: 2 yrs
Weight: 10 lbs.
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: yes
Good with kids: unsure
Energy level: unsure
Good with men/strangers: prefers female energy
Hypoallergenic: no

Special home requirements or medical: bite history with her babies

Additional info:

Panini was rescued from the shelter with her 5 baby puppies and has been a wonderful Mom to them! She has been lovingly nurtured in a foster home and is now ready to be someone's forever princess. Panini is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a lap dog, who obsesses over their person. She is definitely a clinger, in all the best ways. Panini is timid at first, but she quickly grows fond of her human friends. While on walks, she is a little afraid of big dogs and will avoid close contact. However, Panini does well when she is around dogs (and cats) in the home. She follows your energy and often looks to you to determine if the situation is safe. This sweet girl does get excited to play with her familiar dog and cat friends. She’s come a LONG way in such a short time. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle next to her human, under some cozy blankets. She is truly a person’s best friend. Panini does have a bite history (she was very protective of her babies!). She also seems to prefer female energy and will growl at strange men if they come into the home.

If you are not ready to adopt just yet and would like to help in other ways, please consider clicking on the green “Sponsor Me” button above to help this dog receive the best care we can give.
