Panda's Story

Our boy Panda is now, again, in search of his forever home. As most of you know, Panda has had a wild winter. His last foster home had a mishap, and he ended up on the run for several months. Panda recently went to the vet and is on preventative care for any tick-borne disease he may have contracted on his adventure. He still has a few trust issues, but we feel like with the proper introduction, he would transition into a new home successfully. If you would like to meet our boy Panda, please follow the link below and fill out a pre-adoption application.<br/>https://shsanimalshelter.com/somerset-humane-society-pet-adoption/adoptable-dogs/

Somerset Humane Society's Adoption Policy
The first step is to fill out our online pre adoption application which is found on our website. This will get your information to us and let us know which pet you are interested in so we can begin the approval process on our end. Please be aware that filling out the pre-adoption application does not guarantee adoption of the pet. We recommend that you follow up your application with a call or a visit to the shelter to meet the pet you are interested in. When we receive multiple applications for the same pet, our policy is to choose the home we feel is best suited for that pet’s unique needs. We can not hold available pets for more than 24 hours for any potential adopters. Please call the shelter at 207-474-6493 during business hours to ask any further questions about the adoption process.
