She raised her puppies like an absolute superstar and quickly became known as one of the best mama dogs the rescue had ever seen. Calm, patient, nurturing — she handled motherhood like a total professional.<br/><br/>Now living in foster care, Pam is showing off her goofy, personality more every day. She is happiest when she's near her people. Whether it's couch snuggles, a Starbucks run, supervising household activities, or proudly showing off a cute sweater, Pam wants to be included in whatever her humans are doing.<br/><br/>Pam is the canine equivalent of the overly excited happy kid who just doesn't know what to do with all her enthusiasm. She loves HARD. Because of that, she can still be mouthy when excited and sometimes forgets how big she is. While she responds well to correction and redirection, she would do best in a home with children 8 years and older because of enthusiasm and unawareness of how wiggly her body is!<br/><br/>Pam is also leash reactive (not aggressive! Think doesnt know how to contain her eagerness) and will require an adopter committed to daily leash work, structure, and continued obedience training. She is mostly fine, but strong on leash and needs a confident handler who can manage her if other dogs are around her while continuing to build her leash manners and impulse control. The good news? Pam is incredibly food motivated, eager to please, and smart — she genuinely enjoys learning and bonding through training.<br/><br/>Because Pam can get overstimulated easily around dogs on leash, consistency and routine are a must. She thrives through play and love and positive reinforcement. She still has a lot of pitty puppy energy! She loves to walk and run she loves car rides. (but can be reactive to dogs in sight while parked!) She can play for as long as you want with a tug rope!<br/><br/>As previously mentioned, Pam is currently heartworm positive and actively undergoing treatment.<br/>Pam is also on and would benefit from a weight-management diet and healthy lifestyle to help keep stress off her joints and support her overall health as she recovers. Since she is temporarily unable to exercise normally during treatment, maintaining her weight will be especially important.<br/><br/>Most importantly, Pam truly loves being with her people. She bonds deeply and would do best in a home where someone isn't gone for extremely long hours every day. While she can settle nicely and enjoys naps, she's happiest simply existing alongside her humans — whether that's urging you to play, lounging on the couch, following you room to room, or supervising your daily routine with her signature side-eye.<br/><br/>Despite her temporary restrictions and training needs, Pam's personality shines bright. She's funny, cuddly, loyal, expressive, and overflowing with love to give.
