Paloma's Story

Hello! I am Paloma, a sensitive and brave soul with a heart that has overcome so much. I arrived at the rescue after a very difficult start; I was born in the winter to a mother who had suffered mistreatment, and at only three weeks old, my siblings and I were left out in the cold and rain. Thankfully, a kind neighbor asked for help and I was brought into a safe home. While my mother found her forever home in San Diego, I am still waiting for the family that will protect me forever.

Life has been a bit challenging lately because I am quite shy and have been bullied by my two siblings. Because of this, I am looking for a patient and loving family that can help me build my confidence and provide the stability I’ve been missing. I have so much potential to blossom, I just need a safe place to call my own!

What You Should Know About Me
-Our Age: Approximately 1 Year.
-Our Weight: Medium size.
-Our Current Condition: I am healthy and already spayed. I have been kept in a safe environment, but I am anxious to find a permanent home where I can truly relax.
-Our Temperament: I am shy and timid at first due to being picked on by my siblings, but I am also restless, inquisitive, and very playful once I feel comfortable. I integrate well with other dogs.
-Our Special Needs: I have a natural instinct to chase cats, so I would do best in a home without felines. I need a family that is committed to a "forever" bond, as my rescuer has held onto me out of fear of me going to the wrong home.
-The Goal: To find a patient, active, and responsible family that will provide me with the love and security I need to overcome my shyness.

What We Will Bring to Your Home
When you choose to adopt me, For Happy Tails makes sure I am ready for our new life.
