Padre's Story
Meet Padre -- our tiny, sweet-and-spicy little gentleman! 🐾
Padre is 10 years old and weighs just under 6 pounds, but don't let his size fool you -- this little guy has plenty of personality. His absolute favorite activity is strolling around the backyard. Whether it's soaking up the sunshine or relaxing in the shade, Padre could happily spend an hour outside just enjoying the fresh air, either on his own or alongside the other dogs.
He's a bit of a foodie with very refined taste. Padre can be selective about his meals, but fresh chicken, turkey, hot dogs, and cheese are always big hits on his menu. Treats? Sometimes yes, sometimes no -- Padre decides when he's in the mood!
Padre is deaf, but he keeps a close eye on everything going on around him. If he sees the other dogs barking, he'll happily join the choir. He loves having his people nearby and will follow along if someone heads outside to work in the yard. In the car, he's the perfect passenger -- he curls up and falls right asleep.
When it's time to rest, Padre prefers cozy comfort. He has his own bed, but his favorite place to sleep is in one of the big dog beds tucked under a blanket. Toys are still a bit of a mystery to him, but he's just starting to show interest in playing with the other small dog in his foster home.
Padre would likely enjoy a home with another dog to keep him company, but he mostly just wants to be near his people and part of the family.
This tiny gentleman is ready to spend his golden years soaking up sunshine, snacks, and love. 💛To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

https://longwayhome.org/apply

❤
Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
