Meet Paddy - short for Paddington - a handsome, athletic boy with a soft heart.<br/>Paddy was born March 2, 2025 in a loving home after his parents had an accidental litter. <br/><br/>He is now looking for his forever home where he can flourish. He is a mix of<br/>sheepdog, black lab and german shepherd mix.<br/><br/>The way to Paddy’s heart is with a ball. He absolutely adores playing fetch. If there’s a ball around, Paddy is in his absolute glory, and yes, he brings it back!<br/><br/>He is a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, he’s a<br/>sweet, loyal companion.<br/><br/>Paddy has already shown what a fantastic dog he can be:<br/>-Snuggly and affectionate once he trusts you<br/>-Dog-friendly – has done well with medium and large dogs at the dog park<br/>-House trained<br/>-Knows “sit”, working on paw and recall<br/>-Gentle mouth<br/>-Good in the car<br/>-Comfortable being handled (including nails!). Was very good at his recent vet visit.<br/>-Walks decently on leash<br/>-About 65–70 lbs full grown<br/><br/>He does bark at dogs walking by his home (he lives on a busy corner) and he hasn’t met cats. Paddy isn’t crate trained, but he has shown no tendencies that would require it. He is not used to being left alone for long hours.<br/><br/>Paddy will thrive in a home where he has space to run, play fetch, and burn energy, followed by cuddles with his humans. He will do best with continued training and socialization, An adopter with a house and fully fenced yard is recommended so he can have outdoor time in between walks. He will require a lot of exercise and outdoor playtime to help keep him happy and healthy.<br/><br/>Paddy has just had his first set of booster vaccines (DHPP) and rabies vaccine. He is negative for parasites, heart worm and tick borne diseases. Our adoption process includes an online application, a telephone interview, a home visit (virtual or in person), reference checks and a meeting with the dog.
