Paco's Story
Est. DOB Oct. 2024

Paco was pulled from he euthanasia list from a shelter. We don't know why he is so mistrusting of humans unless he was either mistreated or severely neglected during his short life. He is reactive while crated, but will gently take a treat from anyone.

Out of the crate, he walks on leash and will allow few pets
from a new person. He adores his foster mom, and is a near perfect little boy for her. We are confident he will be that with any adopter who is patient, confident, and won't back down from Paco's tough- guy antics. He will most likely be protective of his owner and may not do well with lots of new people.

Paco has made great strides in the last several weeks as we continue to socialize him and help build his trust in humans.

We recommend a home with experienced dog owners familiar with the breed and no small children.

WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.

If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.

Adoption fee of $440 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
