Paco's Story

Paco is one of seven gorgeous puppies – adorable Chihuahua/Terrier mixes – who were born April 12, 2013. This sweet little family lost their mother a few days after birth. Their lady asked PPC for help and we found a surrogate mother dog who helped nurse the puppies until they were old enough to eat on their own. We think these puppies will weigh less than 20 pounds as full-grown adults. They are full of spunky personality and LOVE people. Their favorite activity is playing in a kiddie pool of shallow water.

The mix of Chihuahua and Terrier makes for a great disposition. If you have ever lived with a Chihuahua, you know Chihuahuas are the ideal lovable, loyal and long-term pal. When you are alone in the house with a Chihuahua, you are never alone -- they like to sleep on your lap, sit by your side, or follow you from room to room while you do chores. This breed craves affection and companionship. They are quick-witted, cunning, and sweet. When you are away from home, they protect the home as their personal domain, barking at the sign of any approaching stranger (making them surprisingly effective watchdogs). This endearing love and devotion often accompanies a big-time attitude packed inside a pint-sized frame.

Terriers are the rascals of the dog world. Their name comes from the Latin word terra, meaning earth, and references their love of digging for such prey as foxes, moles, badgers, and rats. Terriers come in a wide range of sizes and shapes, but they all share a feisty, mischievous personality and an energetic nature. They are highly intelligent and trainable, and like to live with people who have a great sense of humor.

Paco is part of our Adopt & Stay Program.
