Why Choose Me?<br/>Update: Pablo loves balls, but today he found another favorite toy--a ring! I rolled it for him, and he chased it, but on his own he decided to toss it in the air to catch. He had a blast, and I was amazed at his moves as he leapt in the air to get it. I always have fun with Pablo and absolutely adore him.<br/>* * *<br/>Update: I had Pablo in the interaction pen next to me today, and he watched as I tried to get the dog with me to play. After a while, he was at the fence letting me know HE'D play with me. When it was his turn to join me, he was all smiles and leading the way. I think he kept a smile on his face the whole time we were together. I threw the ball for him time after time, and while he didn't bring it back, he didn't tear it up either--a first! I guess he wanted our playtime to last. Pablo is a super buddy. He's always up for whatever I want to do which has included wearing a headband with drumsticks (for Thanksgiving), a wreath (for Christmas), a sweater, and a hat. Today, he was a present, and I couldn't help but think he could be the best present anyone could give themself--he's love, fun, and a best friend.<br/><br/>Update: Pablo's so cute in his Christmas sweater. He was easy to dress (after all he is a big lap dog!) and red and green compliment his handsome brindle coat. He had fun chasing balls and other toys, but he's not one to bring them back-he wants to chew on them awhile. I stuffed a Kong with some treats and he liked that, but he seemed a little disappointed that he couldn't break open the Kong like he can balls. Pablo is a good boy. He's a playful, affectionate sweetie who'd love a home and best friend.<br/><br/>When I saw Pablo, he seemed familiar, and I later learned he'd been adopted earlier this year. He's a happy boy, and while he's seven years old and listed as XL, he still likes to run, and has some spring in his step. He wasn't interested in toys today, but when I'd call him, he'd happily come running anticipating pets and attention. <br/><br/>His coat is thin in places, and his skin is raw on his neck where a collar would be. He needs some TLC but is a happy-go-lucky guy with so much joy to share. His former owner said Pablo lived indoors and is house trained. He's good with kids of all ages and loves being with people.
