Ozzy's Story

Ozzy here and I was adopted in the summer of 2021 as a puppy and then returned last December. I admit I was not the easiest puppy and it was obvious to the good folks at Animatch that I would need some rehabilitation if I was to be adopted again. They knew just the people to call! Yup, the good people at FIC (Ecole de Formation des Intervenants Canins du Quebec) and they have been working with me for months. Virginie Forest and her group of students have helped me on the route to being a good canine citizen. I now have unanimous approval that I am ready for my forever home.

I’m a high energy adolescent who will require daily walks and play sessions – every day in all kinds of weather. If you would like to try your hand at agility, canicross, or other dog sport; no doubt I would be a willing partner. I’d love nothing more than to be adopted by an experienced family who wants to make a difference in a young dog’s life.

Because I do have an issue with resource guarding, I would thrive as your one and only dog. I am friendly and eager to please, and I should definitely continue practicing everything that I have learned during my stay at FIC. Training is a daily thing – and let’s make it fun. Fill up your pockets with tasty liver treats and let’s get started! Then one day you can brag about me being the epitome of what you have always wanted in a dog. Except until that day, we need to work together.

I am so grateful that FIC took me under their wing and they have been my stability over the past several months. In fact, they have been the only “family” that I have known for quite some time. Because of them, I realize that I have the basics to be a good canine citizen. I will need lots of love but even more important is commitment, patience, and determination. I’m counting on you.

If you are a calm and experienced dog lover who never runs from a challenge, I’m ready to start whenever you are.
