Ozzie's Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE INQUIRING

Please only submit one online application. List all of the dogs you're interested on the application.

Meet Ozzie. He came to us from a shelter in the Central Valley. Ozzie is likely a Corgi mix. Heās got super cute, short legs that are somewhat bowed. Ozzie is very friendly and loving with all people including young children. He also gets along with other dogs and was tested with cats and paid no attention to them. Ozzie will follow you around very well without a leash. Heās crate trained, doggie door trained and potty trained.

Ozzie seems to have low (cough potato) to medium energy (can play with other dogs) and should be content to bask in the sun on good weather days while you sit on the patio reading a good book. He would also make a great therapy dog, visiting hospitals or the like.

A little back story on Qzzie is that he was adopted by a previous adopter of ours. Unfortunately, a week into that adoption, Ozzie had a seizure. The adopters took him to the ER where his blood work was done and it was determined that he had some issues with his liver. He then had a bile acid test which confirmed that he had a liver shunt and at that point, Ozzie was returned to us. Ozzie is now on a prescribed liver care diet and he has had no further seizures. We had an ultrasound done which determined that he was a good candidate for surgery. The next step would a MRI. We are going to try to fundraise to cover the cost of his ongoing vet care. We are also looking for a potential adopter that is financially able to cover his ongoing medical/surgery needs. The sooner Ozzie can get this critical vet care the better.

Ozzie weighs about 30lbs, is already neutered, tested heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and microchipped. He is currently fostered in Yuba in a home with young children and other small and large dogs.

If you are interested in meeting Ozzie click the following link. https://form.jotform.com/221116924195050. Complete and submit our online dog application. Please note, you only need to complete the application once, even if you're interested in multiple dogs that are available.

*Vetting includes: Neuter/spay, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea preventative, and any other necessary vet care.
