Ozzie (and Harriet) bonded pair's Story

Ozzie and Harriett

This pair was dumped on the road in front of our sanctuary. They are tightly bonded and around 5ish years old. They are doberman/shepherd mixes. They are wicked smart, unbelievably affectionate, have perfect off leash recall, low energy but love to play in the backyard in short bursts. They are curious, funny, extremely well behaved and trained to sit, lay and shake. They are kennel trained, house trained, need their own couch because they are HUGE ?. They love a good comfy dog bed- but prefer to sit with you. They are perfect on a leash and loveeeeeeeeee to go on short walks.

Ozzie is being treated currently for a torn CCL (like the ACL in humans- and is expected to have a full recovery. He is also heart worm positive and in treatment for that.)

Both are fully vetted and ready for their forever home. They do need to be adopted together as they rely on each other greatly for support and happiness. Harriett has had puppies at least once in her past as is evident from looking at her body. ? We don’t know if the 2 are related by blood or not.

They are great with other dogs and kids. They do chase cats!! ?

They are gentle giants and deserve the best home ever!

Piccolo Farms's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process begins with an in-depth conversation with potential adopters to understand their lifestyle, living situation, yard space, and what type of pet would be the best match for their family. We then arrange a meet-and-greet session between the adopters and the animal to ensure compatibility before moving forward with the formal application. Once the application is completed, we conduct a home visit to verify the living environment is suitable for the pet's needs. We then implement a two-week trial period, allowing the adopters and pet to adjust to each other in the home setting. At the end of the trial period, we reconvene to discuss how the placement is working and, if successful, finalize the adoption with a formal adoption contract.
