Ozzie's Story

Meet handsome 2 year old Ozzie! This handsome fella is looking for his forever home after joining us from our local shelter where he has a soft tissue injury which has now completely healed. Ozzie’s favorite game is playing fetch. He will play for hours on end. He is house broken, and crate trained. He has had free rein over the house with other dogs in his foster home (with big and small breeds) and does well. He loves going to work with his foster parents and he insists on sitting with them in the office. He is also the biggest napper and loves when his foster dad carries him like a baby. He loves watching cartoons on tv and snuggles with all of us! He has been great with the kids in the home as well. We started to introduce a little water play and he’s slowly taking to it and likes to splash around some. Ozzie is a total mush/lover boy! He needs very slow proper introductions with new dogs. Ozzie has gone through basic training skills through a veteran service dog training program (he is not currently a service dog) and knows sit, down, and some agility training learning left and right commands as well as a few others he is learning. He also knows the commands sit and wait for when foster mom feeds him and will wait for the command “eat” before he eats out of his food bowl. He is very smart and very treat and food motivated for training. To adopt, submit an application online by copying the link below and pasting it into your browser OR visit www.sfmuttrescue.org. *Due to breed, homeownership is required.

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SFMR/Dog
