Owen's Story
Owen is now a year old and he is an amazing young dog who loves everyone he meets!
He dies, however, have a medical condition known as megaesophagus that causes him to regurgitate promptly after eating. His foster has been amazing at figuring out how to care for him and he has thrived in her care. One important solution to prevent regurgitation is to have him sit upright in a chair for around 10-20 minutes after he eats to make sure his food stays down. We are happy to report that Owen is doing well. He has gained weight and has the play drive and the energy level of other dogs his age. We realize it may take a little longer to find Owen’s perfect home but wanted to share him as we know the right family is out there for him.
For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com.
