Outlaw's Story

Outlaw is a fun-loving and feisty Pomeranian! He is always down to play, especially when it comes to toys or roughhousing. He is mouthy and shows his love by nibbling on your fingers while you pet him. Outlaw can usually be found in his foster mom's lap while she works. He very much loves affection and cuddles, so he is easy to take anywhere because he legit just stays in your lap the whole time! Outlaw is great in the car and will happily nap or lay down while he waits to get to the destination. He is good on a leash and is down to go on familiar routes or to new places. Outlaw has been to the dog beach and prefers to chill with his human, enjoying the fresh air. He typically doesn't care about the other dogs in public. Outlaw gives lots of kisses while you pet him!

Outlaw is good with other smaller dogs that are okay with him trying to initiate play. He is indifferent to dogs at first, but once he warms up, he is all about running around and playing! He can play a little rough, though, so sometimes he does need to be redirected with a toy to put his energy elsewhere. He is also very, very tiny so he is good in small dog parks with other trusted dogs.

Outlaw was found on the streets, and as we have gotten to know him better, you can tell that people were very mean to him. In instances where he feels threatened, he can be nippy and defensive. He really tries to please his family, but sometimes his nippiness is a warning that he is uncomfortable and needs a second to reorientate himself. He has nipped his foster mom in times where there is forced body movement, such as pushing his butt down to sit for a photo or exposing his belly too quickly in a cradling baby position. He has zero issues with his belly being exposed and LOVES belly rubs, but she believes it being too quick it scared him and he nipped. So, he is not ideal for kids. However, he is VERY smart and has learned the commands off, out, and in. He knows how to sit, especially when treats are involved. He has done great with routines and expectations. He holds his potty over night and has gotten into the rhythm of his walking/potty schedule in his foster home.

Outlaw is genuinely a joy of a dog--he is young and has the energy to go the distance! Sometimes he'll hop off of my lap and run to get his lambie or snail toy. It is SO cute when he grabs a toy the same size as his body! He is not really a barker, which is great since I am in an apartment. He may whine at first, but treat puzzles or something he can chew on for a bit keep him content, then he just sleeps the entire time that I am gone. Outlaw has met many people, and they always laugh at how quick he is to sleep or cuddle in their lap! He does not mind the crazy yelling while his family plays Mario Kart or the vacuum while his family cleans. He does a cute dance while the vacuum is running. Outlaw is currently laying, belly up, while his foster mom writes this bio. He is a very loving guy who just wants to be loved back! If he can also join you for lunch dates or even at work, Outlaw would say, "Yeehaw! I have found my forever home!"
