Otto's Story
Meet Otto!!!

Otto is a 5-year-old, large gentleman weighing around 80 lbs who joined us from another shelter and is still adjusting to his new surroundings. The shelter environment has been a bit overwhelming for him, and he’s shown that he can be nervous in unfamiliar situations. That said, Otto clearly finds comfort in people and enjoys being nearby, even if he prefers to take his time before fully engaging.

Once he starts to relax, Otto’s softer side comes out. He knows sit and shake, takes treats very gently, and enjoys toys—especially when he can settle on a couch and calmly chew. He’s a big boy with a love for his toys, and those quiet moments seem to help him feel more at ease.

We’re still learning about Otto’s social preferences, but at this time we’d require a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs prior to adoption. Because of his size, we’d also want any young children in the home to meet Otto first to ensure a good fit. With patience, understanding, and a calm home environment, Otto has the potential to become a loyal and steady companion.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
