Otto's Story
Meet Otto! Otto is one of the smartest, most devoted, eager-to-please boys we’ve met.

“Place.” That’s the command his foster parents are working on now. It’s never too late to teach an old dog new tricks, and Otto approaches training like a man who has just been promoted to assistant to the regional manager.

When Otto hears that unmistakeable crinkle of the treat bag, he reports immediately for duty ~ eyes bright, ready to earn his cheese. His designated “place” is a gray blanket beside his toy basket. Cheese is the usual reward, but he also adores his toys. He just wants structure and to know the assignment and execute it well.

As he’s grown more comfortable, he’s also grown more protective. He alerts the pawrents {and any suspicious outsiders} with a bark at the window, then over to the front door to ensure the perimeter is secure. Once his humans acknowledge the “danger” and assure him the coast is clear, he stands down.

Otto is intelligent, loyal, and deeply devoted to his people. He would thrive with a family that appreciates a dog who wants a job and takes it seriously.

Apply to adopt this devoted, squeaker-slaying gentleman today!

Otto is approximately 69 lbs.

Fostered in Burke, VA
Please apply at MirisHaven.org
