Otto's Story
Meet Otto, a handsome German Shepherd who is a little over two years old and weighing about 80 pounds. Otto is a fun, energetic, and affectionate boy who is house trained, crate trained, up-to-date on vaccines, and currently takes an over-the-counter spray to help manage occasional hot spots. He isn't neutered yet but we can get him set up with that after adoption.

Otto loves to run, play fetch, and burn off energy with anyone willing to keep up. Kong toys, frozen yogurt, and peanut butter on a rubber mat are some of his absolute favorites. He does wonderfully with other dogs and has been around small animals, though he can sometimes be a bit too enthusiastic and may play a little rough simply because of his size (he likes to paw at other animals playfully). He lived around cats when he was three months old and only wanted to play with them, but he hasn't been around cats since. The only thing Otto truly dislikes is having his fur dried with a hair dryer.

He has been around children from newborn to age fourteen and has done great with all of them. He especially enjoys kids who are old enough to run and play chase or fetch.

Otto's family is making the incredibly hard decision to find him a new home. With young children, and a demanding work and commute schedule, they no longer have the time needed to give Otto the level of exercise, structure, and attention he deserves. They believe he will thrive with a family who has the time and energy to keep him active and engaged.

Otto is a loving, joyful, and eager companion who will make a wonderful addition to a home that can match his playful spirit and give him the active lifestyle he needs. If you're looking for a loyal, lively young shepherd to welcome into your life, Otto may be the perfect fit.

If you want to apply to adopt please go to OneByOneRescue.org

Together, we're saving lives—one by one!

One By One Rescue is an all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit foster based rescue.
