This is Otis. Our happy, energetic, big-hearted boy. Otis came to us from Tennessee, rescued from a high-kill shelter, unsure of the world and a little skittish at first. With patience, love, and time, he grew into an incredible dog with the biggest personality.<br/><br/><br/>Otis is the kind of dog who needs and thrives on attention. He loves being included, playing outside, and running around. He’s playful, affectionate, and happiest when he’s near his people. He listens extremely well, knows his commands, and stays in the yard—he truly just wants to please.<br/><br/><br/><br/>We did a DNA test and learned he’s a special mix:<br/><br/>• 45% American Staffordshire Terrier<br/><br/>• 30% Dachshund<br/><br/>• 25% American Eskimo Dog<br/><br/><br/><br/>The result is a smart, loyal, goofy boy with a huge heart. Otis is amazing with kids and adores women right away, though he can take a little time to warm up to men—once he does, his loyalty runs deep.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Unfortunately, we’re faced with an impossible decision. Our newborn baby is extremely allergic to dogs, and while it breaks our hearts, her health has to come first. This has nothing to do with Otis being anything other than wonderful.<br/><br/><br/><br/>We are looking for a forever home for Otis—one that can give him the attention, playtime, and love he deserves. He would do best with someone who enjoys spending time outdoors and wants a true companion.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Please consider opening your heart to Otis, or sharing this post so he can find the home he deserves.
