Otis's Story

Meet Otis!
A large, lovely, playful, and truly distinguished gentleman of 7 years young. Otis is WAG alumni, having first come through WAG as just a tiny pup back in 2018.

Otis is one handsome, regal boy with a gentle, mature soul. He has epilepsy, which is well managed with medication, it's not his favorite thing in the world, but he takes it like an absolute champ. With his health well supported, Otis is free to focus on the important things in life: playing with toys, soaking up affection, lounging in the sun, and perfecting his croissant position skills (why sleep on a dog bed when there are cushions calling your name?).

Since settling into his foster home, Otis has been doing wonderfully. He’s met the neighbor’s dog and enjoyed a great play session, is friendly and social with other dogs and cats, and is adjusting beautifully to his new environment. While he was a little unsure of himself at first, his confidence grows every day, and so does his happiness. He listens well, loves to play, and brings a calm, joyful presence wherever he goes.

We are so incredibly grateful to Otis’s amazing fosters, whose patience, love, and dedication have helped him transition so smoothly and feel safe, settled, and cherished. Otis is truly something special, and we can’t wait for him to continue shining. 🐾✨

My perfect home:
A family with patience who would love to spoil a sweet, senior guy who needs some extra support, and is able to provide a safe space.

Is ready for the 10+ year commitment.

Understanding that I have had HUGE changes in my life. I will need you to give me the time I need to settle in and relax after my adoption, whilst you help me gain confidence.

Will understand canine body language (or is willing to learn) and will listen to my communication

Be proactive with my training, using a WAG approved trainer that will help me learn, transition and give me the best set up for success.

A family who understands epilepsy or is willing to learn. Understands the importance of my consistent medication schedule

Will take me for regular vet checkups, manage my epilepsy, continue my medication and be proactive with my health.

I need a home that is committed to me and ready to give me a life with love and kindness for the rest of my years.
