Otis's Story
Hi, everybody! My name is Otis! I’m a 4-year-old Lab mix, and I’ve got a story to tell.

You see, my family moved away. And while they packed up their belongings and headed off to their next chapter, they left one thing behind.

Me.

Suddenly, I was all alone, trying to figure out how to survive on my own. But that’s the sad part of my story, and I’m hoping the BEST part is still to come!

Now, let me tell you a little about myself! I LOVE PEOPLE! Big people, little people, new people, familiar people...ALL people. I’m so eager to please too. I’ll do anything for some attention.

I’m 41 pounds

And BALLS! OH. MY. GOODNESS. BALLS!!! You throw it, I chase it! You throw it again, I chase it again, and so on!

I also love a good, tough, chewy toy. Please don’t waste your money on the flimsy stuff. I’m a professional.

Now, I do have a few things on my wish list for my forever home.

* I need to be your one and only furry child.
* A fenced yard is a MUST!
* I’m crate trained
* I ride wonderfully in the car!
* My leash manners could use some polishing.
* And mealtime? Let’s just say I eat like somebody might cancel dinner tomorrow. Considering my past, maybe you can understand why.

When I first arrived at my foster home, I had enough energy to power a small town! As I’ve started settling in and realizing I’m safe, I’ve calmed down SO much.

My foster family says I need an experienced, patient adopter who understands that I haven’t exactly had the easiest life. Someone who will give me structure, consistency, exercise, and most importantly, LOVE.

As for my medical care, I’m:
* Fully vetted
* Neutered
* Microchipped
* Heartworm positive, but I’ve received gentle-kill heartworm treatment.

ADOPTION FEE $100

Here’s the thing...I’m not a perfect dog. But I didn’t deserve to be abandoned. I didn’t deserve to be left behind. And I certainly don’t deserve to spend the rest of my life wondering if anyone will ever choose me again.

Think you could be my person?

Visit www.coffeecauseforpaws.com and complete a dog adoption application under the Forms section.

Questions? Email coffeecauseforpaws@gmail.com.

Please SHARE my story! Somewhere out there is a person who needs a dog just like me. And goodness knows, I need them, too.
