Oso's Story

Hi. I am Oso. I can be a little timid when meeting new people, but I am quick to warm up. I am learning to walk with a leash and with time I will be a well-trained boy. I came from a home that spoke Spanish regularly, but I am learning commands in English also. I am a lovable boy who can't wait to find his people. If you're interested in me, please submit an application at safehavenforpets.org. Thank you!

If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 815-858-2265 or email us at safehaven1471@gmail.com.

Dog adoption donations are $200 which includes vaccinations, neuter, Heartworm test, Lyme test, Bordetella, flea & tick preventative, heartworm prevention, deworming, and microchip.

Safe Haven's Adoption Policy
Once someone picks out a cat or a dog they would like to adopt from us, we ask them to fill out an adoption application on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. After the application is reviewed (within 1 to 2 business days) we will try to contact the applicant by calling or emailing them. If the adoption is approved, we will then try to set up a day and time that the adopters can come to the shelter to pick up their new pet! At that time we will have the new owners sign some paperwork and provide us with the adoption donation fee. The adoption donation fee for a dog is $200. The adoption donation fee for a cat is $75.
