Oso's Story

Oso is a gentle giant senior looking to spend his golden years in a loving home.

Oso ended up at a shelter in New Mexico at the age of 8 years old. He was not thriving in a shelter environment, and we were lucky enough to be able to move him up to Colorado and into a foster home. Oso is about 85 lbs and likely a purebred German Shepherd. He has had full bloodwork and x-rays done, and seems to be very healthy! He loves food of any kind, and is smart and motivated to please. He enjoys long walks despite some arthritis in his spine, which we're currently treating with joint supplements and appropriate diet. Oso is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and Heartworm-negative.

Oso is good with other dogs, and takes correction from other dogs well. We have not seen him with cats or small kids yet. He gets anxious in a kennel, which his foster is working on.

If interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link: https://www.wildwestpetrescue.org/adopt
