Oscar's Story

Oscar is a 6-year-old terrier mix weighing in at 13 lbs. This scruffy sweet little boy is house trained but not a fan of a crate. He enjoys walking on a leash and playing fetch. Oscar loves attention and being loved. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Oscar is not a fan of children and is toy aggressive with his foster dog siblings. He is fine with other dogs unless a toy is involved. Oscar is a one-person dog and needs an experienced adopter to work with him on meeting new people. Pawsitive Impact NC Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

Our standard adoption zone is within a 50 mile radius of Charlotte, NC. Applicants in our standard adoption zone have priority in adopting our rescued dogs. This is because we try to reduce the amount of travel stress that our adoptable dogs would have to endure. If you do apply to adopt a dog and you live out of our standard adoption zone, please be prepared to find a local rescue group that will conduct a home check on our behalf, and please also be prepared to come to Charlotte, NC to meet/adopt the dog if your application is approved. We do not “ship” animals, even if your application has been approved. Adoption process for Pawsitive Impact NC Dog Rescue. 1. Fill out application 2. We review application and call vet references as well as personal references. 3. Meet and Greet with the rescue dog is scheduled. 4. Home Visit is scheduled. 5. Decision is made based on the best interest of the rescue dog. Our goal is finding their forever home and family. We want to be sure that the fit is the best for the rescue dog and the family.
