Meet Oscar Anderson

Oscar is a lucky boy! He was in a local high kill shelter and set to be euthanized. He was a staff favorite and no one wanted to see him die so they reached out to our rescue and begged us to help even though at the time we were closed for in taking new dogs due to being full. He is now safe with one of our fosters!

Here is what they said.
Oscar is an amazing dog.
Oscar was brought to the shelter after he was found as a stray. His finder (female) took him home and let him stay inside her house while she tried to find his owners. Oscar quickly attached himself to her quickly. The finder was not able to keep him any longer and decided to bring him here to the shelter. While here, (I’m the shelter) Oscar does seem to get along very well with certain people. But other people can cause him to be shy and uncomfortable. Oscar did dog test well with another dog. While he didn’t do a lot of interacting, he did allow the tester dog to lick his face, sniff him all over, and attempt to interact with him. Oscar is neutered, around 1.5 years old, weighs 53 pounds, and has been vaccinated and dewormed. We are thinking that Oscar is a Pointer mix. This boy is tall and has long lanky legs.
