Oscar's Story
Meet Oscar! He is a 2-year-old Miniature Pinscher with a big personality packed into a small, athletic frame. At 18 pounds, this energetic little guy is playful, affectionate, and deeply devoted to his people once he feels safe. While he can be a bit wary when first meeting new folks, Oscar has made plenty of friends and warms up with patience, consistency, and kindness.

True to his breed, Oscar is active and curious, with a love for running, playing with balls, and sticking close to his favorite humans, he’s often described as a “playful shadow.” He bonds through kisses, playful jumps, and being held, and he feels most secure when he’s warm and close to his people. Oscar would thrive in a home with an active lifestyle and someone who’s around often to give him the engagement and reassurance he craves.

Oscar is potty trained, leash-savvy, and was previously kennel trained in a cozy, well-set-up space. He does have some separation anxiety and can be vocal, especially in homes with shared walls, so a single-family home or understanding neighbors would be ideal. A fenced yard is a plus but not required.

According to his previous owner, Oscar loves playing with other dogs, though dog introductions should be done thoughtfully. He hasn’t been tested with cats. He can be sensitive around strangers, especially people in uniforms, and benefits from slow introductions and respectful handling.

Oscar is generally healthy, neutered, and on monthly parasite prevention. He’s a bit picky about food and could benefit from slimming down slightly, but otherwise just needs routine care, enrichment, and continued confidence-building.

Oscar is looking for a patient, committed home that understands small-dog energy, appreciates a loyal companion, and is ready to invest in building trust. In return, he offers endless affection, playful companionship, and the kind of devotion that makes him want to follow you everywhere.

If you’re ready for a spirited sidekick with a soft heart, Oscar may be your perfect match.

Oscar is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
