Content to lounge around for most of the day, Oscar (aka Otis) would make a nice companion for less-than-active people and a wonderful choice for kids. Dumped and left with a garbage can for shelter, with lots of help he was finally out of the cold, and volunteers call him the sweetest of hounds. He insists on giving you his paw to hold even though it comes with a funky twist. <br/><br/>His foster parents say Oscar is fully housebroken and loves everyone he meets. He is estimated to be between 6 and 7 years old -- an "adult" on the cusp of being called a senior. Oscar is good for short walks, characterized by a limp, but still has some mighty pulling power (offset by his adapting to a gentle leader), but his needs for activity are meager compared to high-energy breeds. Oscar never lets his impediment stop him from enjoying his walks. He is not a big fan of other dogs, and is quite happy to be the solo dog in a home. <br/><br/>You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment.
