Oscar's Story
Dumped and left with a garbage can for shelter, his companion had been killed on the road. With lots of help, he was finally out of the cold. Traveling from Morgantown with Oscar, volunteers call him “the sweetest of hounds”. He insists on giving you his paw to hold even though it is a twisted mess. Estimated to be between 6 and 7 years old -- an "adult" on the cusp of being called a senior, Oscar is scheduled for a fusion-surgery on his left front leg so that he can live a more pain-free life, but he has been a champ about walking on leash, never letting his physical ailments stop him from enjoying his walks. (You can visit the Angel Ridge facebook page or website to donate for Oscar’s surgery). He is underweight at 67 lbs. but now that he has a regular feeding schedule and lots of attention, Oscar will surely gain a few pounds and many new friends.

You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment. We always recommend submitting an application (and a copy of recent vet records for your current pets if applicable) to info@aradopt.org.

Link to application: https://www.angelridgeanimalrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Dog-Application.pdf
