Oscar's neuter surgery is medically contraindicated at this time due to lung scarring that resulted from a prior heartworm infection. He has since been fully treated for heartworm disease through Melarsomine injections at Town and Country Veterinary Hospital and is now in recovery from that treatment.<br/><br/>Oscar continues to receive veterinary care through Grants Lick Veterinary Hospital<br/> A full medical recheck was completed on 11/23/2025<br/> His lungs will be X rayed again at his next veterinary visit<br/> Oscar will remain in a pre adoption placement until he is medically cleared for neuter surgery<br/><br/>Oscar's health and safety are our highest priority.
