Oscar's Story

Oscar's neuter surgery is medically contraindicated at this time due to lung scarring that resulted from a prior heartworm infection. He has since been fully treated for heartworm disease through Melarsomine injections at Town and Country Veterinary Hospital and is now in recovery from that treatment. Oscar continues to receive veterinary care through Grants Lick Veterinary Hospital A full medical recheck was completed on 11/23/2025 His lungs will be X rayed again at his next veterinary visit Oscar will remain in a pre adoption placement until he is medically cleared for neuter surgery Oscar's health and safety are our highest priority. Surgery will only be scheduled once his veterinarian confirms that it is safe to do so.
