Orville Woofenbacher's Story

Meet Orville Woofenbacher!
Would you look at this dashing gentleman?!

Orville Woofenbacher may have started life on the wrong paw, but you'd never know it from the way his tail never quits. At about 9-10 years old and 50 lbs, he's the total package-equal parts handsome, charming, and just a little goofy.

Want a couch cuddler? He's there. Prefer your pup on the floor? He's happy at your feet. Ready for a walk, a car ride, or a lazy afternoon in the sun? He's your guy. Honestly, Orville might just be the "choose your own adventure" of dogs.

This sweet boy is friendly with dogs of all personalities, gives cats zero attention, and even got along with a duck (yes, you read that right-he's duck-approved). He's house trained, well-mannered, and doesn't need a crate since he's such a gentleman when left alone.

Now, we promised you honesty-so yes, he's a digger. But he balances that out by being a professional-level sunbather. And while storms might spook him, he'll turn into the world's best snuggle buddy when the thunder rolls.

Basically, Orville Woofenbacher is living proof that age is just a number and "perfect dog" isn't a myth. Give him a chance, and you'll wonder how you ever lived without him.

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq

Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.

***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
