This handsome boy is a 4-ish year old weenie that is looking for love! Hello! Im Orville! Nice to meet you! Im a gorgeous longhaired black and tan tweenie sized dachshund. I came to RRDR with my friend Ethel after we were found running the streets of KCK. (Ethel has found her forever home) Im a happy guy that loves to play with toys and loves to be with my person. Snuggling on the couch is the best! I can be barky though if youre in another room and I cant get to you. (On the other side of a baby gate) I dont necessarily love a kennel either but will go in it when needed. I would likely do best in a house where no neighbors (apartments, etc) will get upset if I do decide to talk to you. It isnt all the time but we dont want to upset anyone next door. Someone who is home a lot would be my favorite! I am not really potty trained per se but I do use the doggie door at the rescue. Im a smart boy so Im sure that I could learn all kinds of things pretty quickly. I also dont mind wearing a belly band. <br/><br/>Orville has had all vetting completed and is ready to go to his new home! Our "usual" rule is 1 hour away from the rescue, but we may have someone in your area.<br/><br/>Thank you for making the choice to adopt an animal. <br/> <br/>Please allow time for the application to be processed. Once an application has been pre-approved, the applicant will be notified, and the foster of the animal of interest will be notified to contact the applicant to schedule a meet and greet. After that a home visit will be done.<br/><br/>The volume of applications, and other rescue obligations dictate the length of time it takes. <br/><br/>Applications are processed in the order in which they are received.<br/><br/>However, meet and greets are scheduled in the order in which applications are approved. Incomplete applications, failure to respond promptly to inquiries, veterinary clinics which require permission to release information, etc. slow down the rate of processing. <br/><br/>RRDR is run 100% by volunteers.
