Orie's Story
Orie is a striking two-year-old Blue Heeler mix with bright eyes, a brilliant mind, and a heart that bonds deeply with his people. Originally found as a stray, he was adopted in May of 2024. Through no fault of his own, he is now looking for stability again after his family faced the risk of losing their home.

In his short life, Orie has already lived in three different states and experienced multiple moves. What he needs most now is consistency, routine, and someone who understands the heart and drive of a Heeler.

Orie has been around four cats and five children and is described as very friendly and affectionate. He loves giving kisses and will gently place his paw on your lap, look into your eyes, and politely let you know he needs to go outside. He thrives on routine and does best with a consistent potty schedule. If he misses a trip outdoors, he may have an accident in his kennel.

Say "cage" and Orie walks right in. At night he sleeps either kenneled or in bed. He knows "paw," "up," "sit," "laydown," "belly," "outside," and "cage." He is incredibly smart, attentive, and eager to engage.

Orie loves long walks and absolutely loves to run. His ideal person would be a runner or someone who genuinely enjoys daily exercise and adventure. He is not a couch ornament. He is a working-breed mix who wants movement, purpose, and connection.

One thing to note, he does tend to chew on standard leashes, so durable gear and continued training will be important.

After so much change, Orie deserves a home that finally feels permanent. A steady, active, committed family will help him settle into the life he has been waiting for.
