Oreo's Story

Meet Oreo
Oreo is a lovable, goofy, and sometimes hilariously clumsy Pit Bull mix with a heart as big as he is! At approximately 75 pounds, this handsome boy has plenty of love to give. He’ll be turning 2 years old in February, and he’s ready to find the family who will help him make the most of all the wonderful adventures ahead.

Oreo loves being around his people, playing with his favorite toys, and spending time outside enjoying the fresh air. He has a playful spirit and a personality that makes him uniquely Oreo. Whether he’s busy entertaining himself with his toys or simply enjoying time with his favorite humans, he’s happiest when he gets to be part of the fun!

Oreo has come such a long way on his journey, and we couldn’t be prouder of him. He’s currently working with a trainer to continue learning his manners and building confidence. He has also started anxiety medication and is doing great! Every bit of progress is worth celebrating, and Oreo continues to show us just how much potential he has.

A Little More About Oreo

Oreo has some special needs that make understanding him even more important. He has a head tilt, can be clumsy, and sometimes walks in circles. He also experiences occasional cortisol spikes, which can affect his stress response. To help us better understand what’s going on and how to best support him, Oreo is planning a trip to Cornell in the near future for neurological testing.

We’re still learning about his unique needs, but one thing is certain: Oreo deserves patience, understanding, and a chance to keep thriving. He’s making progress, receiving support, and has people cheering him on every step of the way.

A Few Important Details:

• Breed: Pit Bull mix

• Age: Will turn 2 in February

• Weight: Approximately 75 pounds

• Up to date on vaccinations

• Neutered

• Currently on anxiety medication and doing great

• Working with a trainer on his manners

Oreo is looking for a loving, patient home that will celebrate his victories, continue his training, and embrace all the goofy, lovable things that make him special.
